From Phuket we took a ferry to Phi Phi Don Island. Our hotel is the Phi Phi Hotel and is about a two minute walk from the pier and has an amazing view from the balcony. The town is located on a sand bar which spans between two islands. This forms two amazing beaches. One on each side. This area was hit very hard by the Tsunami since the wave went right over from one side to the other. There are no vehicles on Phi Phi, which is a nice quiet change from Phuket. We entered Jen in the Phi Phi Idol contest at Hippies Bar. The contest ended up being cancelled due to a lack of participants, but we convinced Jen to sing anyway. Her prize was a free bucket (these are a popular drink in Thailand made in a child's sand pail with a mickey of rum, a can of coke and a bottle of redbull and some ice all for about $8.00).  Well you can imagine what the end result is. We also enjoyed a great fire show.We took a tour to Maya Bay, which is on Koh Phi Phi Lei. This is where the movie the Beach was filmed. We were able to do some snorkelling and Kayaking and watch the sunset from the baot.

There are no vehicles on Phi Phi
