Larnaca for a night at the clubs

Ok Friday night, the last night of our drinking binge. I didn't plan on going out tonight but one of our Cypriot friends, Stef, asked us to go to Larnaca (where the airport is) to go out to the clubs. He knew a club we could get in free and so we decided to go. We left our apartment at 11:30pm. Mandy, Merry, Stas, George, and I went to Larnaca in George's car. Speed limits aren't reall a huge factor in Cyprus and therefore we were going 115mph not km on the highway. it was a blast..and dont worry mom, we are fine! :) Then we were coming into Larnaca and were flagged down by the police. We pulled over and there was four of us in the back seat so immediately we thought that was going to be a problem. George, the driver got out (WHICH YOU DONT DO IN THE US) and began to talk/negotiate with the police. The cop took the keys to the car and we all became really nervous. Stef, who is fluent in Greek also got out of the car and began to talk to the cop. The cop's boss came over and joined the conversation and told the other cop to just let us go. We found out once both of them got back in the car that George's car was from Britain because he is English and the Britian plate is illegal in Cyprus. The cop who flagged us down was in a bad mood and was looking for an argument and thankfully his boss recognized this and let us go. Merry had to pee during this entire time and she could barely hold it. We found a bathroom immediately after that and then proceeded to the club. It was right along the beach and it was beautiful. we met a guy who said that he would like to take us wakeboarding..which would be a lot of fun!!! Because of Stef we were on a guest list to get into the club and therefore got in for free! it was a blast. We ended up getting home at 4:30 in the morning. That is a common time to end a night here. We had a blast! This was the conclusion to our over a week long drinking binge, however, I went to all of my classes and gave two presentations..so I am learning here...NO WORRIES!!!! :)
