After spending some time at Avignon and buying gifts for ourselves we head back onto the coach for a drive towards Nice. We arrived to our hotel, which is only across from Nice Airport. It’s the Park Inn motel, which was fantastic. The rooms were large, bright and modern.
La Camberiere a restaurant over looking the beautiful coast.
We are given 1hr to get ready for our night out at Monte Carlo casino. Rampaging through the luggage we decide on our outfits then head downstairs for a the coach
It’s a pleasant drive to our restaurant. The coastline of the French Riviera is mind blowing.
It’s afternoon so the sun is still out and we get a fabulous view of the town and all the beautiful homes.
We arrive at the La Camberiere a restaurant over looking the beautiful coast. We can see the island where Prince Albert of Monaco lives. As we dine and enjoy dinner of pork with salad and meringue, we are given time to enjoy the scene after dinner.
We head back on the coach for a drive through the city. We head to get access to Prince Alberts Palace. We enter a long tunnel to gain entrance to the bus car park to view his palace only to find out car park is closed leaving our bus driver no alternative route but to reverse back through the tunnel all the way.
The Monte Carlo grand prix is in 2 weeks as we see the preparation-taking place. We are delighted when the coach heads onto the racing tracks and to the starting point. Earl does a count down and the bus screeches off. It gave everyone a bit a laugh.
We have no even reached our destination yet but so far in love with the beautiful sights and glamour of this place.
