The Mighty Falls
From South America - The Journey Begins in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil on Jan 05 '09
Blimey we have finally found a computer that works so two blogs and loads of pics all in one day, and we hear Amsterdam and London are really cold, brilliant, now where did I put the suncream...
Well after a 14 bus ride from Floria we arrived at 10am at the bus staion in Foz, Brazil and headed for the Bambu hostel were we had booked ourselves a bunkbed each in a dorm, we had met the owner at the Hostel in Floria so we were expecting good things..
The hostel is really nice, a cool little bar area with pool, and most importantly our bungbed wasn´t right infront of the toilet which was a bonus. We dropped off our bags on our beds and headed straight out to the Brazilian side of the falls as we are only here for two days.
The falls are supposed to be a better experience on the Argentina side but we enjoyed it all the same taking a million snaps of the falls and enjoying the sunshine. that eveneing we had a couple of beers and then straight to sleep as we were heading for Argentina on the Wednesday for there side of the falls.
So we headed into Argentina and started our day trip on the Argentinian side which was much hotter than the day before and more trails to walk much to the delight of Kristina... The highlight of the day was taking the speedboat under the falls were you get soaked, but it´s great fun. we head back to the hostel and meet some guys we had met in Floria before we head to sleep. Today it´s Thursday the 8th of Jan and were lounging by the pool and sending emails of course befor we take the night bus this evening to Porte Algre in Brazil and the from there tomorrow intro Uruguay and back to the beach, so until we get a good internet connection... wrap up and keep warm...
