Gorgeous Day

Today was a great day!

We got up really early to head North towards Paihia, where we planned to take a half day boat tour of the Bay of Islands. The weather was awesome, the water was calm and the sights were spectacular. Luckily we were able to even go through the hole in the rock- which doesnt happen all the time because of the conditions of the water.

After that we got off the boat and toured around the town of Russel- it was known as the 'bad' town, in comparison to Paihia (heaven) back in the day of the settlers. Whalers use to stop off in Russel for women and to hit the drink. It was a cute town and a great place for a 'cuppa.' (coffee)

We then toured around Paihia, where Sherron and mom searched for the perfect ring, with no success. They are just so excited to be here and take in all the new crafts.

Tomorrow is another traveling day for us, as we are planning to head down to Rotura and Taupo. Only a few more days left on the North Island before we hope on yet, another ferry and jet off to the South.
