After Concord headed for Boston. Foolishly headed into the city and spent a hair-raising hour or so in busy Saturday afternoon traffic. Eventually pulled into a parking lot in desperation and decamped.

Boston is fairly compact and easy to walk round (it has a big red line on the pavement you can follow round all the sites). Loads of Irish pubs and seafood places. I was staying near to Newbury Street, which has a load of restaurants on it. Everyone in Boston appeared to be either eating or queuing to get into a restaurant.

Some lovely old buildings from the founding of the US. Boston Common and the adjacent park are beautiful public spaces. Really pleasant to just sit and watch the people go by.

Stopped off in Plymouth on the way down to Cape Cod. Very proper little town.
