Day 10: Grand Canyon National Park to Las Vegas

Day 10 began very early because I had to make the 4.5 hour drive from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas to catch my flight home.

Along the way I came across the junction to historic Route 66. I also made a quick stop to take some pictures of the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. I got my passport stamped at the Visitor's Center before continuing onto the airport in Las Vegas.

20 Hours of travel makes for a weary traveler

My flight home to Philadelphia was another 5 hours and then I had a connection to Wilkes Barre which took another half an hour and a 1 hour drive home. 20 Hours of travel makes for a weary traveler. It was a long day but a great vacation.
