All of us American kids and our professors went on a sketching trip to Tours, Poitiers, Orleans, and Chambord.  Chambord was my favorite.

The U of I department here brought in a clinician to help us with our sketching, and he spent the week with us last week.  On Thursday, we all went to Orleans, then Poitiers, Tours, and Chambord.  We sketched and sketched and sketched--and as of right now, I'd be happy to never see a pencil and a sketchbook again.  We all improved, though, so that's good.

I'd love to go back to Chambord and the Loire Valley in general--I've always had a soft spot for chateaux.  Although it was a shame we only spent a few hours at Chambord, it was beautiful anyway.

Oh, and someone (an American) was getting married there.  Totally unfair.
