Hi again...or hello for the first time I guess, as many of you couldn´t access this site due to my inability to send out the invitation...unfortunately I can only access this blog site from about one in ten internet shops. Oh well, T.I.A.."This is AFRICA"
So, I´ve spent the past few weeks making my way overland from Malawi through to North Mozambique, and now down South to the capital, Maputo. It´s a former Portugese colony, and the language is still Portugese, the architecture is quite European, and the travel is still distinctly African...which means you are risking life and limb every time you jump into anything motorized here. Seriously scary driving - and this coming from a guy who doesn´t mind lifting the front wheel on his Ducati :) People here are really friendly, but that doesn~t mean they won´t try to rip off the naive white guy once in a while. But this whitey is gettin a bit savy to the local ways...might have to become a tour guide here!

So, I only have a week left, and it´s off to Joburg, SA and then my last few days is going to be spent in lovely Cape Town, before flying home from Dar Es Salaam on Dec 1st. I´ll fill you all in on the trip when I´m back home ... in proper, face to face fashion. For now, enjoy the few pics I´ve included ... sorry, it takes about 10 mins to upload ONE PHOTO...so, needless to say, it´s a bit sparse!
All the best
Scott
