On our way to Seattle we stopped in Tacoma for a quick bite and a brew at The Parkway Tavern (as recommended by Danni) - great place, great food, great beer. We camped outside of the city and didn't make it in until the next day. The first place we went to camp at said it was "closed," and we figured it was one of those state park things again that locked its doors at sunset. So we made our way to the KOA and were told it was $50 a night! Then the guy at the KOA told us that they aren't allowed to lock people in and we should just go back to the park and try the gate...so we did. It wasn't locked, so we technically didn't really break in, right?

Seattle was fabulous - we loved it. We went to the Pike Place Market and got to see the fish dudes - we had seen a video about them during my training when I worked at Bausch and Lomb, so that was kinda cool. Then we decided to take a harbor cruise to see the city from that side. It was a windy but beautiful day. Later we went for dinner at Ray's Boathouse at sunset. At the end of the meal we had the port and chocolate dessert and fell in loooooove with the creme brulee chocolate we had. We got the address of the chocolatier it came from, and fortunatley it was in the same neighborhood we were going to the next day - woohoo!
We got going late the next day - we've been having issues with our rooftop carrier and we were trying to resolve them that morning. When we got to the city we went for a walk through the new Sculpture Garden. Inside they had these weird white ball type thingys, which a bunch of kids were playing in. So of course Josh and I got in one too. These little old ladies behind us kept making comment about how they'd never seen adults in them - not in a bad way, but just really suprised that we were playing in them. The funny thing was, once we got inside, the parents of the kids who were inside the other one got in with their kids too. Boy, adults just don't know how to play anymore.

In the afternoon we went to Fremont, a fun neighborhood Danni sent us to. We had some great Thai food for lunch and then walked around a bit. We found the chocolate shop and OMG. Ok its called Theo and its at 3400 Phinney. Here's the website - http://www.theochocolate.com/. Just go there and order. When you walk inside they have about...10 chocoalte bar options and a PILE of pieces for you to sample. THEN on the other side are the confections, about 20 differnt options from caramel rose to thyme. Yes, thyme chocolate. And it was good! The woman at the counter let us sample at least 4 differnt kinds and would have let us sample more if we hadn't felt bad. Then we bought 12 pieces and a buttload of chocolate bars for ourselves and some gifts. We will DEFINATELY be ordering from there in the very near future.
We made our way back to the car but made a stop to buy me a dress and then off to the Olympic Loop!
