My apologies for being "off the air" for so long. I'm back and focused (don't you wish that were true?)

As soon as we entered California, the redwoods began to beckon. Some of you may remember our trip last year and the photos of the magestistic sequoias. They are massive, but for a graceful tree in the huge category, nothing beats the California Redwoods. We only drove through a short part of the National forest, but took advantage of every tree. We stopped at some of the strangest Mom-and-Pop tourist traps in the land. We stopped at the "House in a Tree" where Grandpa and Sam found a redwood stump with a nose they could both pick. (Sometimes bonding takes a strange route.)

Next we found a drive-through tree and while Barbi and I took pictures of the car, Ralph and Sam sat in the back seat eating chips. Shortly after that, we discovered another kind of tree house. This was one that Sam (and I) could climb into. Too cute to pass up.

Soon we reached Greenbrae where Barbi and Sam live across the bay from San Francisco. The next day we all went to the city on the ferry and had a great time at Pier 39 and the Port of San Francisco.

Ralph and I were pretty tired after this week and we needed a laundry day. Monday morning we headed inland for Elk Grove.

"Slowly I Turn Step by Step"...not back in time but location. Where? College. We met 40 years ago this September. I dazed, lost & confussed on campus. You acting as if you owned the bloody college. Your classic manuver of all time; walking over to the Black Panther table and asking for "Some Free Huey". You my friend are a "Class Act". Safe travel.
