Bandung is the heaven of factory outlets. They have hundreds of them in the city, mainly selling mens' & womens' clothings. Besides clothings, they also have other things like shoes, handbags, etc. Among the brands you can find here in bandung are louis Vuitton, Guess, Levis, Dockers, Hugo Boss, Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Crocodile, Calvin Klein, etc...etc.

We started our shopping spree at the foodsteps of Patra Jasa hotel. As mentioned earlier, there are a few outlets around the hotel area i.e. along Dago Street. To name a few, they are Grande, Glamour, Blossom,etc...etc. These outlets in Dago Street are actually bungalows which have been converted into shops.

Done with Dago Street, we then moved to Riau Street. The outlets here are better managed - larger with nice air condtioning eg. Heritage - prices are higher though but the lay out is like a nice upper end departmental store. Here in Heritage I managed to grab myself a Replay jeans for only RM60 !! What a deal, huh! Speaking of jeans, it's kindof disappointing as 95% of the jeans here are those skinny types. I guess it's the trend now here in Indonesia. I'm just so lucky to actually stumbled into that Replay jeans. So on the first day, we've covered all the outlets in Dago & Riau Street. By the time we finished these two streets, it's already dark & we're pretty much exhausted.

One thing I would like to jot down here is one funny incident we had on our way back to the hotel. We were looking for the right place to catch the Angkut which happens to be a few metres away from where we were at that time. One Angkut stopped by offering to take us there with a charge of Rp 1000 per person. We straight away said no & Ain actually trying to bargain for Rp 1000 for all six of us. The angkut driver just laughed at us & went off. Only then we realized how foolish we've been especially Ain lah....c'mon, RP 1000 is only 35 cents for god sake!! The idea of "one thousand rupiah" actually scares us - looks like we still couldnt get our head tuned to the Rupiah currency. Come to think of it, we felt so embarassed with ourselves for being so cheap....no wonder all of them in the Angkut were laughing at us when Ain ask for RP 1000 for all six of us. Malu seh !!!

Having our coffee-break @ one of the outlets - Carol really hated the coffee here.

Just to share some info. on Angkut. This is the main public transportation in the city  and very famous among the locals. It's cheap and there're plenty of them. You might get a lil' bit uncomfortable though coz the driver usually will try to fit in as many passengers as possible. But for a price of Rp 2000/person, one cant complaint !
