Even though we have heard all the hype about the falls we were amazed by them, the shear number of them, the power and the noise.

The first afternoon we visited the Brazilian side- a more panoramic view, with just the one path and viewpoint, but got right upto the devils throat, the section that joins the border with Argentina.

After a good nights sleep and an early start we set about the Argentinian side, which was just as spectacular! This time much closer and wetter (to the relief of my sunburn). With over 240 falls in total we had plenty of walking/train journeys to cover just a portion of them.

I can try and describe them, but will be here for hours. The pictures give a better idea although never the same in real life.

By mid afternoon Dave was getting severe de Ja vu with the falls, so we took a speed boat trip underneath them for a better angle. Of what i saw was great, Dave assures me it was. I must admit i had my eyes closed the majority of the 30 mins, firstly for fear of loosing my contact lenses, and also for fear of my life!

In total though, we had an amazing time in Iguazu and would certainly recommend it to anyone in this part of the world. Two days is probably enough ( a day on each side) as the local towns did not have much to offer.
