my first port of call
From ICE ROADS 2008 in Saskatoon, Canada on Jan 27 '08
A lovely city and one that i called home for 2 and a half years, when i arrive here i am checking my truck and organising everything to prepare for my trips north not just by myself, i couldnt do it without the help of terry and all the guys at edge, and my great freinds brian and sara for their hospitality and warm welcome they always show, when i return to saskatchewan.A long and tiring day but i arrived 15 mins early into saskatoon to find they have had one of the biggest blizzards so far this winter and the temperature is -36, but im looking on the bright side were going to have a sunny day with a high of -29 today better prepare my speedos and polish my flip flops......!!!!. Have checked the weather for yellowknife and they are sat at -43 up there which is great for the ice road, wont be long now and my journey into the freezing desolate tundra of the north west territories begins. bye for now. back again well they lied didnt get to wear my speedos it was -37 but with the windchill today it sat at -51 been to the yard and there were 32 trucks being towed into the shop for repair after fuel gelling and freezing air lines, its sooooo cold but i better get myself acclimatised got 2 months of this to come.
