We arrived in Mostar and where met at the train station by our Hostel owner Miran(he was wearing a Spar uniform which i found amusing). He took us to his hostel(house) and introduced us to his mother, who spoke no english at all and showed us too our rooms.
We went straight to the old town and see what Mostar was famous for,Stari most(old brige),and see the famous 'Icaruses of Mostar' the divers club of young men who throw themselves off this formidable structure.Unfortunately for us we never saw one dive.It was horrible to think that this bridge of such beauty was blown up during the war.

The great thing about Bosnia was that it was so cheap,so eating out every night was a must, and in mostar there are the most amazing places to eat,on the side of the river overlooking Stari most.
Mostar was the first place we had been where i had really noticed the affects the war had on people,Mostar of course being one of the worst places during the period.Buildings are still riddled with bulltetholes and its quiet a harrowing sight.
The gypsies in Mostar where quite anoying,we had a few children come up to us asking for money but i cant help but think their parents where close by watching and encouraging them.
