What a time we had!

Dunson Reunion in Rochester, Washington. Bill and Jim Dunson live on 4.5 acres of land in southern Washington that they've turned into a 9-hole, 3-par golf course. Each July the course and grounds are invaded by the Dunson/Finch reunion.

Ralph and I got there Friday (25th) afternoon and had our hello hugs and kisses all around. Later, he went off to the train depot in Centralia to pick up Barbi and Sam who rode the train from San Francisco. Their supposedly 20 hour journey by train was extended as they were three hours late getting in. Their arrival was a surprise to Roy and it was difficult to see who was most excited: Roy for being surprised or Sam for surprising him.

That little boy hit the ground running, coming back to us to eat and sleep. We all had a great time. We played golf on the VERY tough little course, we ate until we couldn't leave the chairs and howled and stomped our feet at the family talent show. As usual, it was so great to see everyone. I was especially happy to see how the younger generation has begun to step into the roles of their parents. This reunion has a long life ahead. Aunt Velma and Uncle Millard would be very proud of their offspring.
