A Stroll in the Pouring Rain

The next morning, I was off again and made my way to Lausanne, just 30mins by train. The sun was shining at first. I found my hostel then went to check out the Olympic museum. It was a really good one and I spent about 5 hours there! I kept finding the Canadian stuff and giving a little cheer.

Hungry, and in the middle of nowhere, I had to eat in the restaurant that was there, not a cheap one! But found a salad that was delicious, although I thought it was expensive at the time, now after seeing Norway's prices, it was actually a great deal.

When I was finally ready to leave, of course it was POURING rain and the train stop was no where near the museum. After trying to wait for it to slow down, I just made a run for it. Not ready to go and sit in the hostel all night, I went into town. There was suppose to be the best church in Switzerland here and I just had to see it. So I toughed through it and found it. It was so worth it. So impressive. And the view was great, although not as great if it had been clear and not raining. I snapped my photos and went to find something to eat.

On my way back to the hostel, I found another fellow backpacker, Isabelle, a Canadian!! She looked lost and the rain was coming down harder than it had been all day so I told her to follow me. The 2 minute walk to the hostel was the worst walk of them all, I've never been so soaked so fast! We managed to get a room together and spent the night sharing our stories. The room was a three person room that we had to ourselves so it was nice. It was probably the nicest one Iæd stayed at, great blanket and pillow and we practically had the bathroom to ourselves as there didn't seem to be many others in our hall.
