Belfast was my favorite part of Ireland! My mom and I stayed with the Brady's, a family we met through our friend Judy. They were so hospitable! The World Championships were held at the Waterfront Hall. Such a huge venue! The stage was a bit intimidating, as well as the audience! (Jean Butler and Colin Dunne were sitting behind us at one point!) I danced one day, but no luck with a recall. The next few days we spent touring around Northern Ireland. We went to the Giant's Causeway, and it was freezing! I don't know how many hot chocolates I had to keep warm. We keep going to the bathroom to place our hands under the dryer because it was the only thing warm! haha! But it was so beautiful. We also went to Carrickfergus (and of course sang "I wish I wassssss, in Carrickfergussss") and a couple of other smaller towns I can't remember the names of. Lots of great food (thanks to the Bradys and Colm for showing us where) and shopping! I made quite a few friends there, which I still keep up with on bebo. All in all, a great trip!

Yes, it was a "great" trip and one I'll never forget. Hope your trip to the Mediterranean is even much better! Love, Mom
