Namdaemun Market
From Winter Sonata in Seoul, South Korea on Mar 15 '07
Namdaemun Market is the biggest traditional market in Korea selling all sort of things from clothing, bags, daily miscellaneous goods, kitchenware and much more - which reminds me of Chatuchak in Bangkok. It is located at the heart of the city centre.
I've to move in to another hotel nearer to this place so that I could just walk to the market. Nevertheless, as expected got a bit lost the first time going there. I'm so grateful i found this market. Otherwise I would be going back to KL empty handed. This is the only place in Seoul where I could actually shop. Maybe not as much as I used to shop in bangkok but good enough.
The biggest traditional market in Korea
Bought a few souvenirs for frens / relatives, Korean T-Shirts, accessories (as usual) & brooches. Brooches here are quite cheap as their quality are really good unlike the ones bought here in KL. Bought for Mum some brooches for her to sell among her frens back in Kuantan.
Wish I could spend more days / time here in Namdaemun. Was here for only half a day.....definately not enough for a compulsive shopper like me. I'm sure one day, I'll be back to Namdaemun Market.
