Discovering old Roman baths that still work!

On the way to Ludbreg we found these old Roman baths and decided to stop and walk around and see what was there. We were excited to find an archeological site that has the original baths still in place.

Witches Beware

The spring that feeds these old baths now also feeds the more modern hotel and medicinal baths located just around the corner. People travel far and wide to come here and try out the baths for its medicinal properties.

Apparently this place had a witch problem in the 1580's and many women were burned at the stake here.
