Finally some time to relax. Having spent the past 10 days on the road it was a relief to not have any formally structured time. A so-called holiday from our holiday. We spent three full days in Chengdu from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July.

10 Things we did in Chengdu:

It's all about the (Western) food.

1) Spend an inordinate amount of time at Starbucks (Jinli Street & Tianfu Square) on rainy Friday.

3) Peruse an exhibition of photography, painting and calligraphy celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the People Liberation Army, at Sichuan Art Gallery.

4) Browse home decoration shops, with the sales assistants believing we may be in the market for a new kitchen.

5) Explore the Tomb of Wang Jian on sunny Saturday afternoon.
