So we woke up from the hostel which was actually a sheep farm and headed further north. Our goal today was to find a stunning ocean view at Wineglass bay. We drove north up the coast stopping a few times at some amazing beaches. Like I mentioned before.. these beaches are never ending and completely abandoned.

Wineglass Bay is located within Freycinet National Park. We got there fairly early and started the 1 hour walk to the Wineglass bay look out. The view is spectacular. You look down from a mountain pass into this beautiful turquoise bay. The mountains are "The Hazards" and to be honest are more like really big hills.  Krystal and I decided to walk all the way down to the bay to have a look from closer up. It took almost another hour to get down to the water but it was worth it. Picture yourself on the most amazing beach you have every seen.. completely alone. Unfortunately it was a little windy but the walk was worth it. We faced the daunting task of walking all the way back up to the lookout.. which almost killed both of us.

We took a quick look at honey moon bay.. which is a smaller bay that didn’t require any walking. Thank goodness.. Then drove up to a lighthouse, stopping at a beach with a hollowed out boulder that obviously required pictures. The lighthouse provided amazing views... but the lighthouse itself was a not very spectacular. By now.. it was getting later in the afternoon and it was actually fairly cold.

There was a touring race around Tasmania.. with 2 classes. Rally car racing and rich people in fast cars touring. We have seen lots of fancy.. heavily stickered cars all over.. including 2 Porsches at the top near the lighthouse.

We decided to push forward and make our way to Campbelltown before finding a place to sleep. We stumbled onto an amazing hostel that had opened only a few months before. It was actually a little creepy because it was perfect.. and yet only had 1 other guest... Something out of Texas Chain Saw Massacre..

Well.. judging by the fact that I lived to write this blog.. nothing happened... Or maybe the killer stole my password as I pled for mercy...

...?
