Day 4 & 5
From Endless Winter in Hakuba, Japan on Nov 30 '07
We woke this morning to find the weather absolutely brilliant - clear skies and sunshine. After our 8am breakfast we got ready and then dyl and mel sorted out some rental gear on the way to the snow. We arrived at Happo around 10uish and Mel checked into a snowboarding class for the day leaving us to hit the slopes. Not too much else to report as we just spent the day enjoying the powder. That night we went to a Jap tapas restaurant which was great but was sold out of a lot of the things we wanted.
The next day Geoff decided to have a lazy day. This left Dyl and myself to hit the slopes as Mel was in a half day lesson. More glorious sunshine made snowboarding awesome and conditions perfect. After lunch I left dyl and Mel and took off by myself. I had a really good day until the end when the chairlift I needed was closed - luckily I managed to get back using a different one that had been closed a few days before but I still missed the bus and had a 15minute walk back to the lodge.
That night we hit up the mexican and even had 1 drink at bar 902!
