One night in Brisbane

After a yukky trip with the amazingly bad 'Barnyard' showing on the tv, i got into Bris and the hostel. Found a gorgeous little rare book shop and got me an aldous huxley and something else.

All the people in my room were asleep with all the lights off at 5pm. 5!! How annoyed was I. So i went and booked my tour round Fraser island and the Whitsundays with a lovely STA woman. Had a beer to celibrate. Who should be at the table next to me, but the crazy irish guys from newcastle!! What a weird coincidence. So i had my 5 dollar steak with them, and yeah it was good. Agreed to meet later in the bar.

Went to the bar, couldn't detect any irishness, so made friends with some LOVELY boys from reading and australia who had met on the Fraser island tour. There was free champagne. Had a grand evening. Did nothing Brisbane has to offer, which i'm sure is a lot aside from gambling. But set off on the greyhound the next morning looking forward to my exciting tour.
