So I made it...obviously! Trip to get here was great, all went swimmingly well without a hitch...except for the fact they gave me NO FOOD on my second flight...not impressed - however the fact that I have suffered zero jetlag I spose makes up for that!

Anywho, am currently in Vancouver, Staying in Samesun backpackers Hostel at the moment and love it here, everyones lovley and theres a bar downstairs which is a great way to meet new people...(Haha - thats handy).

Have been playing the tourist the last few days.

Stanley Park is amazing, for those of you who don't know, its like a forest in the city...wierd I know, but it takes up the coast pointy outty area in Vancouver so it has HEAPS of tracks, lakes, high points and beaches around it.  The beaches here are beautiful, but so packed! Reminds me of baywatch (Minus Pamela Anderson), its amazing how many people are out and about on them and theres just beach volley ball nets up all over the place and you can just join in which is primo. Hired out a Mountain Bike for the day today ans spent the day biking around the tracks in Stanley Park, up to Prospect Point (even though that wasn't really where I was aiming to go...I was trying to find Third Beach and ended up there - which is miles away from the beach!) which had gorgeous sights up there.  Then come back and headed around the beaches and the coast, but I was to chicken to cross the bridge to Western Vanvan cause then I would have to bike on the roads with the traffic...and considering I'm still looking the wrong way when crossing the roads I didn't think it would be a great idea to do that!

But yep, thats me so far! Headed down to Gastown and Chinatown the other day and FAR OUT. I thought I'd be fine, but its really quite freaky down there (the fact that I went by myself is a huge factor) but its just such a contrast to the rest of the city and so run down and don't even get me started on the street people! It was amazing, but extremely unnerving at the same time.  I really wanted to get a photo of the Can Collection shop (The bums collect cans here and get like, 1c for a big bag) because there was just a massive line up of bums (I don't like calling them that but cannot for the life of me think of another word right now) coming out of the shop, It was amazing but I was to scared to take a photo cause I thought they might group attack....ha, bit extreme but it was just a real eyeopener! Definatly won't be going down there by myself again!!

Anywho, the weathers gorgeous, got my brown glow already! I think the only bad thing thats really happened so far is my new addiction to pizza. Its just so good here (and CHEAP) and you literally can't walk up a street without walking past a Pizza place!!

Anywho, want to add some photos so you can all see how beautiful it is here, so will do so now!
