We jumped on a 3 hour train from Valencia to Barcelona and ended up just sleeping the whole way, even though we got to sit beside a crying baby.  After that train we had to wait in Barcelona train station before jumping on a 14 hour night train to Milan.  We met some Canadian girls in the train station and ate gummi bears and chatted it up till we had to go.  Then right before jumping on the train we ran into a few people we had met from Valencia that were actually going on the same train as us.  Its amazing how often you run into people you allready know in Europe, small world I guess.  The train ride was pretty long and Adam and I werent really too tired due to allready having fallen asleep on the train previously.  We began speaking to 2 americans, one of which was a guy who travelled around the world to 3rd world countries and tried to help people and set up relif projects.  He told us all about it and how crazy some of the 3rd world countries are.  It sounds like it could be really interesting to go there but super scary and very different at the same time.  Well, we chatted for a few hours and then went and had a few beers in the bar car.  We ended up chatting with a few people pretty late and then heading to bed around 1 in the morning.  The sleep in trains isnt to great but we made it to Milan nontheless but the train was about 2 hours late.  We went straight to the ticket centre to reserve tickets to Venice since we are heading there tomorrow at 2.  After getting tickets we jumped on a short metro ride and got off at the station in the directions.  The only directions we had after that was that our 1 star budget hotel was 150 meters away but not which direction.  We guessed the wrong way and ended up going to a pharmacy where some very cool Italians pointed us in the right direction.  After asking directions again at another hotel and getting a little drawn map we found the hotel with no problems.  The hotel is kinda sketchy and the plumbing a bit shotty but it has a bed so im not complaining.  We got settled in and headed to the city center.  The city center has some amazing architecture and one of the coolest churchs of the trip yet.  It super detailed and was built in the 1300s and is being restored at the moment.  We looked around outside and went for a walk around the city with no real idea of where we were going.  Pretty much most places in europe you can go anywhere and still find somthing cool.  After wandering around the city a bit we found our way back to the church and went inside.  The inside was pretty mind blowing.  Imagine 100 meter tall pillars all over the place and statues detailed all over the place.  There are massive stain glass windows all over the place and hugeeee organs.  The place is just super massive.  We wandered around the free parts of the church for a while and then exited.  Right beside the church there is a huge arch that goes into a high class mall.  The mall is all about super expensive stuff and they have all the rich stores right in the middle.  This includes prada, louis vuitton, and....MC DONALDS!!!!  Even the Mc donalds is high class but it seems wayyyy out of place.  Me and Adam found this rather humourous.  We wanderd around a bit more and decided to head back because we were thirsty and tired.  We got some water and both took some nice naps.  Now we are sitting here in an Internet cafe and are planning to get some dinner and heading back to the hostel.  Milan has been nice and relaxing and we plan to just have a good nights sleep, maybe see some more sights tomorrow morning if we here of some more cool things and then jumping on the train to Venice.

Love Assmoose and Radam
