Adorable kittens!

Grr had to do all the railings again with Emily, scraping paint off and sanding. Wahooo dejavu! Meanwhile Rachel painted ‘Smile Lanka’ on top of the house porch. Looks beautiful! Sandpapering continued with Em, Dawn and EmJ for the kitchen cupboards, while I taught in the afternoon. Many children were missing from my class today, but still worked well continuing with the basics of numbers with fun exercises. Throughout the day there were the most adorable kittens, that kept playing about the bushes together and then ended up in a box, being out of the way of the kitchen.

We had Fran and Andrew (2 Scottish volunteers) round for dinner at 7.30pm, to have a good catch up. Had a genius idea of cooking fajitas, as found the recipe for the tortilla wraps and salsa dip (unlike England, you can’t find everything in the supermarket!). Unfortunately making them was another thing and unlike the quick making supermarket kit, they took so much longer! So all very impressive being handmade, but in the end eating as an hour and half longer eating at 9pm! Well worth the effort though, as were delicious! Had a selection of deserts after too. After this we all felt shattered and hit our beds!
