We enquired about the Salt Lake trip at various agencies and decided to do the trip with Cordillera Travel. We left on the Friday morning and had breakfast at the Bolivian border.
We were in a 4x4 with an american guy and 3 welsh lads. We were really lucky with the people we were put on the trip with as we ended up having a good laugh which is needed when you see some of the holes they call hostals we had to stay in!
Its 12000 km² and bright white really dazzling

The first day and night is FREEZING!!! We saw some coloured lagoons and the "Dali desert" which were really cool. We went to some natural hot springs and Mal dared to get in this time. The water was around 40º! It was lovely! We also visited some Bolivian Geysers. Then we got took to the hostal. We all shared a room and had concrete slabs for beds which was nice!
Then the next day we saw more lagoons, a flamingo reserve, "El Arbol de Piedra" and an active volcano. That night the hostal wasn´t as bad but wasnt finished and had concrete beds but it was made of salt which was cool.

On the last day we saw the actual salt lake which is amazing. Its 12000 km² and bright white really dazzling. We´d had to change drivers and the new one was is a rush for some reason so he only gave us 10 minutes on the salt lake for our crazy photo taking.
All in all the trip was really good the sights are amazing and it was a real good laugh thanks to the lads on the trip. However I would recommend people dont do the tour with Cordillera Travel as we were constantly in a rush, didn´t stay in the accommodation stated and were given second-class treatment compared to the other group who went with us which really got to us by the end of the trip.
