Travel day to Auckland

Is this Auckland or LA!!

Big day today, last full day in New Zealand! It all seems to be surreal at this point, absolutely amazing what we have seen and accomplished in the past 30 days! We have approx. 250kms to put on today, before we return our home for the last 30 days! It seemed like this trip was going all too smoothly, no real direction challenges to speak of…until today!! For a city of only 1.5 million Auckland has the road infrastructure of LA! This city’s road system must have been designed by an autistic as well as directional challenged team of planners! I only over shot my exit by 30 f_ _k’n km’s!!! By the time I pulled into the return depot for Affordable Motor home hire (rentals), it was 4:30pm. Not really an unreasonable time, however, we originally arrived into Auckland by 2pm!!! Anyways the Affordable people where very accommodating and fantastic to deal with. We managed to find a Hotel close to the airport after seaching for over an hour, ( did not feel that a reservation would be necessary during this time of the year…Opppsss)! After a quick inspection of the rooms (yuk!!) and a re-count of all our luggage we headed to the Hotel restaurant for dinner, then parked myself in bed with my laptop & Jacqueline of course!
