We disembarked here and went immediatedly to airport for flight to Cuzco.

Guayaquil has a population of more than 2,000,000 people and spreads out from the chocolate colored Guayas River about 12 miles inland from the Gulf of Guayaquil. The river, navigable for the largest of ocean vessels makes Guayaquil one of the Pacific's most important and protected ports. Approximatedly 85 % 0f Ecuador's exports flow through this p[ort and down the Guayas River to the outside world. For travelers, this city serves as the gateway to the Galapagos Islands as well as to the rest of the country. Ecquador is approximately the size of the state of Colorado.

Bill and Sal; It sounds as if you are having a great trip and we enjoy the commentary; almost as if we were there. Do you realize that you are about 10% through your trip!! Waldo
