On the road again!

· (29^th, 30^th Sept). On Saturday we started the day early, cleaning out the caravan and saying last goodbyes. Farewell Highland Heathers We stopped for lunch at a beaut pub just outside Inverary and making there just in time before we realised we had a slow leak in our tyre. Thank goodness Wikki held off till we could make it to a servo in Glasgow. Once we’d called the RAC man, for a second time to help us (bluddy tyre was under the car- stuck!!), we were on our way again. The afternoon was all drive and no play. Absolutely stuffed we ended up finding a park with another caravan near Ingleton. That decision ended up being a turning point for our ‘free camping’ ideas for the future. At about 4am the next morning- both of us dead to the world, we had some idiot bang on our van and frighten the absolute shit out of us. I’m sure they had a good laugh but Jules especially was a quite shaken with Kev also needing fresh underwear!! All in all a good and harmless lesson learned…. The hard way! Needless to say, we moved on quick smart- an interesting trip considering Jules is FAR from being a morning person! Still half asleep, the windows iced up, Kev did his best to drive us all the way to Leeds where we stopped for an uninterrupted sleep at a safe truck stop at about 6.30am. After a good 3 hour snooze, we spent most of the day traveling back to Lyn’s. Wonderful to see her again and this time meeting all her family. We ended up having an early night after a few more laughs and many cuppa’s.
