We woke up early on Saturday with plans of heading from Riomaggiore to Pisa. The only problem was that were were slightly misinformed about the times of the trains leaving to Pisa and the train we wanted to catch didn't exist. This wasn't that big a deal though, we just trained over to Monterosso sat on the beach for a few hours and then went to Pisa around 3pm. The train ride to Pisa was very boring and very slow. It was one of those trains that stops at EVERY town along the way and doesn't get anywhere very quickly.

Once we got to Pisa we started walking to the tower, which is on the other side of the town. I think they did this on purpose to try to get the tourists to walk past as many things as possible so they spend more money. It was very very worth it though, I was very impressed with the tower. I could not believe that it was still standing. We spent about half an hour taking tacky pictures of ourselves on the tower and then we left again. On our was back to the train station we had some time to kill and we fell into the tourist trap and ended up eating dinner in Pisa.

The train ride back to Riomaggiore was just as boring as the ride there but half the people we went with slept and the rest played cards. So I taught people how to play Euchre. Opa and Oma would be so proud. That night was our last night in Cinque Terre and of course ended up being the biggest party night of them all. I had the brilliant idea of lighting a fire on the beach and drinking there, so we rounded up drift wood and had a pretty good fire going for a bit. Then we went to the bar for a few more drinks and some drunking adventuring through the town.

During the evening one of the people staying in a hostel with 3 other people got a little carried away and had to go back to his hostel early and pass out. Problem was he was the only one with a key. The other three ended up trying to beg people to let them sleep on the floor of their hostels. Apparently three American girls wanted money and IDs from them, but the guys weren't having any of that. So they ended up banging on the door of our hostel at some ungodly hour and sleeping on the floor and in the stairwell of our building. I laughed so hard when I saw them. It was a good finaly night.
