Sorry for the delay in writing. We had to stay at a different RV park than originally anticipated and they did not have WiFi. We had to go find a bookstore and use their service and it was very slow. Today, we drove to the Grand Falls. Now, had it been the monsoon season (it starts in August by the way) we might have seen falls. However, we saw a dry canyon and goats with bells, which Hannah thought were pretty cool. It was quite a drive with about 10 miles being loose cinder road. I would recommend it if you come to Flagstaff during the monsoon season or if you have plenty of time to spare. After that trek, we headed to the Sunset Crater National Park and Wupatki National Park. Sunset Volcano is a now dormant cinder cone that is part of the San Francisco peaks that erupted about 1,000 years ago. On the drive away from the volcano, we got another awesome view of the Painted Desert (through thunderstorms of course). Part of this same area is the Wupatki National Park, which contains several puebloan ruins dated back 800 years. This was a really neat place to explore. Tomorrow we are off to the Grand Canyon!!

Hi Kelli - I've enjoyed hearing about your trip. We thought about you today while we were in the Math Academy - good info - we'll share when you get home. Have a wonderful time. Kathy
