The main highway through Cape Cod is highway 6. I tried to avoid it.
Highway 6A was my highway of choice going up to Provincetown. (I would choose highway 28 on the return) The road was slow but absolutely fantastic with many place where the trees formed a tunnel over the road. (Stanley Park has a section where this occurs)
The traffic was busier than I thought it would as the Labour Day Weekend was over. Nevertheless a great ride.
