One of the best finds of all was the Escher museum in Den Haag.  Bern has been a huge fan of Eschers since she was a little girl.  So this morning she was giddy as a school girl and it was so cute.

Being able to put our bags into a locker is usually a relief, but this time it was a huge challenge to fit all of our things in.  So, we stopped and found some lunch and actually found a bagel place which was very exciting.  Since they are hard to come by over in Europe.  As we hurried up to the platform to catch our train to Den Hagg we were just about ready to get on the train and realised that we had locked our tickets in with our luggage.  AWWWW...our stomachs sank.  So, after paying to open the locker again we grabbed the tickets and caught another train.

We made our way throught the streets and found some beautiful statues and great architecture with crazy geometric shapes.  All this time and now Bern gets to see all of Eschers work.  He does Geometric designs and zero space...etc. which are great to see.  They are like optical illusions.  All done by freehand.  I don't know how any mind would come up with it.

Once we were back in Amsterdam we were ready to catch our first train to Koln Germany.  We were at one station and Bern and I were discussing a program that they had at school for looking after a baby as part of their class and I looked outside and saw a man by the next train put his bag down and some papers.  And I thought to myself, ' Ah he must have dropped some papers down in the little gap between the train.  So, Bern and I look and he pulls up his little daughter who had fallen inbetween the crack.  My mouth dropped and I couldn't believe what I saw.  It was one of those moments you just couldn't believe.  She seemed to be okay amazingly, but incredibly shock up.     Bern and I sat there and were quite for quite awhile.  Leaving at 6:30pm and then we caught our night train at midnight.  We were very happy to have a sleeper since the travel was about 12 hours.  Althought our 6:30 am wakeup call for passports was less than desirable.  But at least we didn't get escorted off the train like the whole group in the next carriage.  I was a little worried when I started hearing them talking about Colombia, but at least they had already come to our room.
