Having to leave the Hostel at 0830 because the guy in the bunk beneath was snoring so loud it almost shook the room was not the manner in which I had pictured starting my first day here in Adelaide. Almost nothing is open, and it was very dreary - as chance would have it today was the first day I thought it safe to leave my raincoat in my holdall. Sod's Law deemed to was right to pour. And it did.

Anyway, in order to get out of the rain, and dry out somewhat, I entered the Musuem of South Australia. Which, coincidentally, is just down the road from the University of South Australia, so I fit in quite well. Anyway, I was really glad that I did this, because it is such an interesting place. I did find one thing that I found quite funny... you'll understand once you read the caption to the first picture.

Anyway, after this I wandered around the centre of Adelaide, and got a distinct sense that this is a city that doesn't quite know if it is a town or a city... I dunno, it might just be that I've been to Sydney and Melbourne, both large cities, before I came here. Ah well, it doesn't matter.

In the afternoon, with the sun having come out, I went to the zoo... wow. Seriously, so cool. I can't really describe it, you'd have to go there yourself. The pictures do the story for me... I love the otter picture!
