We went to Troy.

We crossed over to the Asian continent of Turkey on a ferry. It was so cool. I was excited by the fact we were going to a different continent.

We took the bus to Troy and had a guided tour on the Trojans by this historian who is renowned for all the books he’s published on the Trojans as well as on Gallipoli. He grew up there and was fascinated by it all as a child, now retired it seemed like a sweet way to be making money.

They rebuilt a wooden horse where tourists could have photos. As to the size and shape of the original Trojan horse no one knows. We saw ruins of the village that existed there and were informed that there was a block where they knew other artefacts were buried but the government refused to excavate the site because it was of no value to them. I spoke with this man and we were both puzzled by this logic seeing any information into our past is sure to benefit our understanding and add details to clarify our perceptions.
