We arrived in Kerikeri after a pretty long & arduous bus trip and to say we were tired when we got there is an understatement!
We got off the bus and dragged our huge backpacks off with us. As the bus left us on the edge of the town we were almost in tears at the thought of having to lift these monsters containing our worldly belongings but just as we were about to start walking, a van pulls up and a stranger with a huge smile jumps out and tells us to load our stuff into her van and she will drop us at the reception of our accommodation! Our prayers were answered!
We were only there five minutes and we already felt at home!
We initially thought that this was a random act of kindness but over time we realised that people around here are just kind by nature!
At the reception of our new home we were greeted by Louise & Andrew, the owners of the holiday park and they couldn't have been more welcoming.
