Hot air ballooning over Cappadocia

We had a 4.30am start in order to get us to the take off position in time to catch the right winds. It took awhile to get the balloons unpacked and get air into them. Once in the air it was remarkable how much control the pilot had over the balloon. He could take us right down into the valley so we could pick fruit off a tree if we wanted to, then up to 600metres. The view was breathtaking, valleys of magnificent rock formations and fairy chimneys. I didn’t want it to end…
