The Autostrada

In your life there are some things you will never forget.

The moment your kids are born. The moment you propose to your partner. Your first kiss. (if you area girl....)

a grey lambo went screaming past us at the full revs of all 12 cylinders.

I've recently added an experience I'd recommend. While toodling down the autostrada, speed limit 130 km per hr, and being amazed at the Audi's, BMW's and Mercs that went past me at 170 - 180 kms, we heard a inimitable roar coming from behind us.

Streaking past us at an estimated 250 - 280 kms, a grey lambo went screaming past us at the full revs of all 12 cylinders.

Till the day I die I will remember that noise and the freedom it represented, The Italians know how to live!!!

Oh by the way - the second fastest car on the Autostrada, a Vatican limo doing around 200 km per hr with a polizia car around 6 feet off its bumper, sirens going to escort it!!

We still managed to get a ticket for all the wrong reasons, we failed to get a ticket at a booth to use to pay when we got off so copped a 35 euro fine!
