Eventhough Ramon and I were very tired after 9 hours flying from Hanoi to Kuala Lumpur and then to Beijing and 6 hours in transit in Malaysia, our first glance of Beijing from the airport stricked us so much that we decided to go out at once and get to know the city. I must say that this is probably one of the worst times to come considering the low temperatures and the upcoming Chinese Year. However we have been so lucky that Beijing received us with a "warm" 5C weather and the fact that nobody else comes this time of the year left us the main attractions almost to ourselves. Additionally we have been amazingly treated by the locals and my friend Carolina.

Given the magnitude of this beautiful country we knew that we will be just having a taste of it after the 10 days trip. So we planned to go to the most popular ones: Forbidden City, Tianamen Square, Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall and do some shopping.
