Day 4:

Dachau Concentration Camp

The alps were covered in snow and in the distance was Cinderella’s castle

Before leaving Germany we visited a concentration camp (Dachau). We all thought it was important to see this part of German history first hand rather than just reading about it in history books. Although the experience was extremely educational and important it was also very depressing. I didn’t say a word for hours because I couldn’t get my mind off some of the images I saw in the Dachau museum.

Neuschwanstein

After Dachau we made our way thru the Bavarian Alps of Germany and made a surprise stop at Neuschwanstein. The scenery was breathtaking! The alps were covered in snow and in the distance was Cinderella’s castle or Neuschwanstein castle. We only had a few hours to explore during lunchtime but we (Cornel, An’el, Wael, and I) made it to the top of castle mountain and took some amazing pictures.

Finally at Innsbrug Austria

After a long drive we arrived at Innsbrug as the sun was setting. We all exited the bus and spent a few hours shopping at the Christmas market in the center. Meera and I had a quick snack and took pictures of the golden roof. While at the markets I bought my folks a cuckoo clock and a few other souvenirs. Once back the hotel we had a nice dinner and hung out by the bar for a little while before going to bed.
