To Santa Cruz hoping for better weather (it was cloudy there but at least it was not raining). Although the city is a bit more interesting than I originally thought, there is really not much to recommend. The highlight is the market (Mercado Nuestra Senoroa de Africa). The peppers I bought there were not like the beautifully shaped ones I get in my London supermarket .. but they had taste .. something lacking from 'designer fruit and veg'.

I saw a woman carrying a huge bundle on flowers on her head .. but she got away before I could get a really good photo of her. I wish I could have moved the tree which blocked my view.
