Where are all the roos?

Having been in Australia for almost a month now - the only real question I have is where have all the roos gone? The only kanga experiences I've had thus far consist of seeing pictures of them on warning road signs, on my plate for a pub dinner in Melbourne, or splattered on the road. Today I took the bull by it's horns and went to Cleland National Park in the hills surrounding Adelaide. This little gem is a conservation effort that is home to native Australian animals - from the Koala to the Tasmanian devil. The roos run loose everywhere and you are free to pet them and feed them. I really wanted to take one home with me, second to that I wanted a pouch experience. Sadly I think I am too big to fit into one, but you'd be surprised to know that an almost fully grown kangaroo still scabs a ride with it's mum every now and again. Shockingly, roos have the softest fur I've ever felt in my life.... softer than a rabbit's tail, and even softer than puppy fur... now that's what I would make my winter coat out of! (just kidding.... seriously)
