So, tofay, I found out that teh other cabin was empty and arranged to move into it (to get away from teh woman with the verbal diaorreha) - twas 150 ruppes a night (2 quid) but no electricity and hot water comes from teh ketle if you want to wash with a bucket, (was used to this by now).  The cabin, situated at the Northern end of teh village is as peaceful as can be and offers beautiful views up teh river to snowy peaks (now only 30-40 km away).  I walked alomh teh raging meltwaters looking a black faced monkeys, birds, and preparing for a leopard attack (which doesn't happen here apparatnly).
