The next day we went back to Budget rental car to get a new car. The Pontiac Grand Prix we had was teriffic, it had seat warmers, electric everything and a sun roof. The only problem was that the ceiling inside was so low that I couldn't sit up straight and there was no cigarette lighter jacob could plug his laptop into. We changed it for a chevi Impala, bigger but not as luxurious.
We then drove up the "Pacific Coast Highway" (PCH)to San Francisco. The PCH is a spectacular coastal drive with a tourist draw similar to that of the Great Ocean Road.

Along the way we stopped at the famous "Hurst Castle". It is literally a magnificent castle built by a New York media magnate back in the 1920s. The place is gradiose and extravagant in every way possible. This place is a huge drawcard for americans, as they come from a relatively new country (like australia) this is the closest thing they have to the castles seen in europe.
