A long and windy road through the High Atlas mountains
I was not excited to get back on the road again.... especially because it meant leaving a place I loved, the beautiful port town of Essaouria. It was a tough bus ride from Marrakesh to Ouarzazate... the roads were very windy and the lady behind me kept wretching like she was going to throw up. Anyway Ouarzazate was a pleasant surprise. This desert town is medium-sized with decent restaurants and internet. And our hotel is wonderfully priced with helpful staff and just a bit of charm. Tomorrow we set off in a 4WD to explore the remote sand dunes and hopefully see some amazing sunrises and sunsets.
