Apparently I only have 10 minutes to write this blog according to the lady that is working here. I am not exactly sure what is going on, but I might as well update you with what we have been doing for the past week or so.

We left Ko Phan Yang and got on a ferry boat to Surat Tani, much to my surprise a friend from Edmonton walked right past me on the boat. Long story short, there are now 6 of us Canadians travelling together. The ferry was a four hour ride and then we had to wait in the pooring rain and then get on a bus to Krabi town. We got into the town at about 8pm and found a place to stay right on the beach. It was reasonably priced and looked OK. This night we had our first encounter with a cockroach... gross... can't handle the bugs.

We spend the next day on the beach, which was absolutely beautiful. The west coast of thailand is nothing like the east. The water is beautiful and the limestone cliffs are stunning. We went on a boat trip the second day and we went to four different islands and spent the day in the sun. We water was nothing like I have ever seen before. The white sand beaches and the crystal clear water made these places look like paradise.

The next day we went into Krabi town, which to put it nicely is a dump. All we wanted was to find a travel agent and internet and found out is wasn't possible. We ended up going to a beach right outside of Krabi, which was the backpackers area that we had been missing out on. We spent the night there and went to a bar called THE ROCK, where they loved us and gave us free t-shirts.  It was nice, because  i now have a new sleep shirt.

Yesterday we took a long boat to Railey and couldn't find anywhere to stay that was reasonably priced so we headed up to the beach a little north of Railey. I don't know how long we are going to be here, but I will keep you updated with our travels!
