This past week there has been a lot going on, but everything has pretty much been around here in Lismore. Last weekend we just relaxed and for the most part spent the entire weekend by the pool sun bathing and just hanging out with everybody. I did go to school for the few hours that I have it each week, but that was the least of my time taken up. We did have St. Pattys day here, which was a blast. There is a little pub dowtown Lismore called Mary's where the entire city pretty much went to. It was nuts but was incredible to get to experience a holiday in another country. St. Patty's day here is not as big as it is back in the cities, but was still a great time. It amazes me every day the different people that we meet and the stories that they share with us. Since being down here I have met so many incredible people, but at the same time have heard stories from strangers that I dont even know. Every person here has their own story and are never afraid to tell you it. I dont think that I have ever met so many different people from all over the world.

Australia culture is so much more laid back and friendly. I was just talking to Amy today when we were sitting drinking coffee how weird it is going to be to go back to the states. Every time you pass a stranger here they always say hi to you no matter who you are and are always willing to lend a hand. It amazes me how much we take life and the people around us for granted. Here I feel that they appreciate one another more and put more emphasis on getting to know everyone around them. Anyway... now that I went off on a tangent. It is about 2 in the morning here and I just couldnt sleep so I decided to get on here and let everyone know what I have been up to the past week or so. This week we went and watched some of the local sports around here. A few of our mates from around here are in leagues with basketball and net ball, so we went to cheer them on. Tuesday night this week we also went over to Mitches and James to watch the footy game (rugby). They made us dinner and a huge group of us just hung out and watched the sunset. It never suprises me how amazed I am at something new all the time. This past week Marshall ( my roomate) introduced us to this incredible spot out in the woods that overlooks all of the city. We have been going out there almost every night to just reflect on life and watch the sunset. Its so serine and peacful.

Wednesday then was Amy's 21st birthday, so we went all out and started celebrating early in the day. I got back from class about 12 to find everyone in the pool already drinking and listening to music. Inevitably they convinced me to join in and we started the celebrations early. Actually we did go in as soon as midnight struck and woke her up then too. Anyway... Wednesday was a blast! We hung out in the pool all day and then went out that night. Today we also celebrated for her since it was still her birthday back in the states. We decided to stretch out holidays here since all of you guys are a day behind.

Moving on to tonight... nuts! Tonight was crazy fun! It was pimps and hos night down at the uni bar and once again we all went all out. I dont know how many times I can say it over and over, but the people here are such a blast! I can not remember the last time that I have been this happy! There has not been one bad day since I have been here in the past month and a half! We all got all dressed up ( or dressed down as I would call it) and had such an amazing time. I am posting pictures on here from a few different things from this past week.

In about 2 weeks we have a 10 day trip planned for Sydney which I am super excited for. One of the girls that lives on campus with us is taking about 10 of us back home with her to stay for that time. She has a huge house on the beach and vehicles there for us to drive ourselves around. It will be nice to save money on housing, food, and transportation for once. Alrighty, that is about all I have for now. I am getting tired, and need to go find my bed. I miss all of you and hope to here from each of you soon!
