we found a very cheap way to travel to niagara falls from toronto. costs only $5! both way! :) there's a bus going to niagara falls casino. we were there around 9 am i guess. besides me and marina there were only old ladies everywhere in the bus...well and in the casino also. i mean, you're retired, you have nothing to do, they go to the casino and spend your day at the slot machines and poker tables. well actually it is pretty pathetic. they're all quiet regulars those old people. i mean the casino itself is beautiful. cards tables, black jack, poker, everything. but i guess the whole casino business lost it's attractiveness. it used to be all the black suits and evening dresses and now it's old lady's outfitts. well...whatever, right? anyways, the bus costed $15 round trip. but they also give you a $10 certificate that you can cash out inside of the casino. this buses are some sort of an advertising thing for the niagara falls casinos i guess. so we arrived in the fallsview casino around 11 am. they checked my passport ofcourse to make sure that i am at least 19. we went inside the casino, got the membership card, cashed out our money and headed to niagara falls. it's about 10 minutes of walking. ok. niagara falls. it's gorgeous. actually it's not quite what i expected, it seems so small, but when you take a closer look you realize that the falls are absolutely beautiful. the american side was very icy and kind of boring too. and i could see all those americans standing on the other side of the falls, on the american side and probably thinking "hey, look, those stupid canadians there!" haha, yeah was fun. there's a bridge connecting canada with the US that crosses niagara. called rainbow bridge if i'm not mistaken. there's also a walk way to the USA which starts with a really beautiful park and ends on the other side, in the states i suppose. :) the whole street stretching from the niagara falls to the old casino building is full of intertainment of all sort. there's ferris wheel, wax museum and guiness records museum (which are no different than those in Hollywood), a bunh of restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Holywood and absolutely wonderful Hershey chocolate store!
